Faculty Associations Brantford

Picture it, a ragtag group of lovable misfits who take on the world armed with nothing but their wits and a Walkman that plays Hooked on a Feeling on repeat (ooga-chaka, ooga-chaka). And that group includes a talking raccoon and a sentient tree. Yes, okay, I’m talking about the Guardians of the Galaxy, but we’re forming our own GotG on campus this year – well, kinda.

In case you haven’t heard, the Brantford Campus is launching Faculty Associations. Sounds fancy, right? Faculty Associations are your chance to work with other students and faculty to get more involved in your field of study. It’s a way for you to get more involved in your program or to meet a group of people who share your interests.

We’re starting out with the Liberal Arts Faculty Association and the Human and Social Sciences Faculty Association. Each association will house many of the available majors. See how yours is categorized below:

Liberal Arts
– Society, Culture and Environment
– Journalism
– History
– English
– Youth and Children’s Studies
– Human Rights and Human Diversity
– Law and Society

Human and Social Sciences
– Criminology
– Health Studies
– Psychology
– Leadership

Good groups, right? Well, we need some folks to help make them great. We’re looking for a President, a VP: Finance, and a VP: External Affairs and Marketing for the Liberal Arts Faculty Association and another set for Human and Social Sciences.

Falynn can give you more details about the position. You can send us a message or email her at fwhynacht@wlu.ca to grab more info.
